Description

Red color with an intense and dark purple hue. Aromas of ripe fruits like plum, very well integrated. Aromatic persistence with noticeable development in the glass. Dry and robust with a structured body, good acidity, soft and balanced. Overripe fruits of cherry and raspberry jelly. Rich mid-palate with good volume, balsamic notes, and well-integrated tannins. Pleasant and very long finish. Typical Douro blend of a powerful and intense wine. A wine "built" to surpass time and exceed expectations.

Quinta Alta

Douro

Oenologist
Fernanda Zuccaro Nuno Mouronho

A new force in the Douro tradition.

Quinta Alta's QALT and Zuccaro wines are the realization of the dream of Fernanda Zuccaro, who left Brazil in November 2016 to become a wine producer of Douro wines.

Fernanda, in charge of the company, was not intimidated by the harshness of the Douro. On the contrary, she was enchanted and seduced by the strength and magic of a land that only the strong can resist.

Quinta Alta harvests and vinifies the grapes from its two properties: Quinta da Longra in Moura Morta in Baixo-Corgo, overlooking the Marão, where the white and rosé wines come from, and Quinta Alta dos Álamos in Ervedosa do Douro, in Cima-Corgo, where the red wines are made.
