Tasting Notes

Deep, intense, purplish-red color. Aromas of ripe fruits such as plums and well-integrated spices. Dense and intense bouquet from the Douro Valley. On the palate, full-bodied, sensual, and enveloping, with a generous opening that transitions into a light yet intense mid-palate, marked by fantastic energy. Round tannins and a refreshing acidity that makes your mouth water, with an expansive, intensely floral finish. Our greatest masterpiece.

GRAPE VARIETIES: Old vines with 16 identified grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Rufete, Sousão, Touriga Brasileira, among others.

SOIL: Schist

VINIFICATION: Manual harvest on September 27, 2019, in boxes of up to 20 kg, with manual selection on a conveyor belt. After destemming, the grapes go directly into the lagar with controlled temperature for maceration and pre-fermentation foot treading under controlled conditions.
