Description

QALT Late Harvest is an explosion of intensity. The balance of grape quality is palpable. Round and structured, with a mouthfeel that guarantees acidity and finesse. Orange peels gain presence in the finish.

Serving temperature 10–12 °C | Storage: 6–8 °C, store cool

Vinification

Late harvest from November 5, 2019, in 20-kg boxes, 50% of the grapes with noble rot, 50% harvested overripe. Sorting belt, gentle direct pressing, slow fermentation under temperature control. Aged in French oak barrels. Bottled on May 22, 2023.

Die QALT- und Zuccaro-Weine von Quinta Alta sind die Verwirklichung des Traums von Fernanda Zuccaro, welche Brasilien im November 2016 verließ, um Weinproduzentin von Douro-Weine zu werden. 

Fernanda, verantwortlich für das Unternehmen, ließ sich von der Härte des Douro nicht einschüchtern. Ganz im Gegenteil, sie war verzaubert und verführt von der Stärke und Magie eines Landes, dem nur die Starken widerstehen. 

Quinta Alta erntet und vinifiziert die Trauben seiner beiden Anwesen: Quinta da Longra in Moura Morta in Baixo-Corgo mit Blick auf den Marão, wo die Weiß- und Roséweine herkommen, und Quinta Alta dos Álamos in Ervedosa do Douro, in Cima-Corgo, wo die Rotweine entstehen.
