Description

It presents itself in a beautiful, bright golden color and with an exceptional aromatic complexity.

Initially, very fine and elegant aromas of pure rosemary honey and tea leaves are revealed, followed by notes of sultanas, slightly dried apricots, and candied white fruits.

On the palate, it is pleasantly smooth, with perfectly balanced sweetness and acidity. Added to this are citrus nuances of mandarin, grapefruit, and lime, as well as hints of orange blossoms and orange leaves. The finish is fresh, with a fine salty note on the lips that makes you crave the next sip.

This wine is best enjoyed on its own. The classic pairing with foie gras, a high-quality pâté, fine slices of a galantine, dried fruits, or puff pastries that are not too sweet and not too salty is particularly recommended.Even a wafer-thin slice of blue cheese pairs excellently with it – the possibilities are endless!

DOC Beira Interior, Portugal

Oenologist
José Ribeiro Brandao

This is our story, of which we are very proud! The Ferraz family has been producing wine for generations! Our vineyards are our most treasured heritage and are located in the village of Vale Flor in the Beira Interior region and in the municipality of Horta do Douro in the district of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, in the heart of the Douro Superior region. Zentralportugal.Wir We have approximately 20 hectares planted with typical Portuguese grape varieties, most of which are about half a century old, and the remaining 10 to 15 years old. The unique terroir of this region, with average altitudes of 500 to 700 meters, the granite soil, and the microclimate, all contribute to producing exceptional grapes. Five years ago, we bottled our first wines. Before that, we built a new winery equipped with state-of-the-art technology to guarantee absolute quality. We have an experienced oenologist, José Brandão, on our team. He has been involved in numerous projects in Beira Interior and is one of the main reasons for the region's 43.7% growth last year. He is a graduate of Portugal's most prestigious university and is a member of the Beira Interior wine region. Currently, we offer red, white, and rosé wines, all bearing the Beira Interior designation of origin. On average, we produce 16,000 liters of red wine, 12,000 liters of white wine, and 2,000 liters of rosé wine. We personally control the quality of our wines at every stage of production, which is why they vary from year to year, but are always of high quality! Our primary motivation was to ensure that the hard work of our ancestors is not forgotten, which is where our motto comes from: Wine, Love, and Family!
